I received a GDE Flash Tool while purchasing remaining parts from someone who sold his CRD. I know it will not work on my CRD for storing tunes because of the different VIN number but can I use it for reading & clearing codes? How would this be done? Can it also be used to read & clear codes on other jeep vehicles that are not CRD's?

It can be used to read and clear codes for your other CRD. I have the same instance with my two jeeps and only one programmer. As far as other jeeps...I cannot answer that question.

Best ask Keith at GDE about what other vehicles it can be used on to access codes and IIRC Keith can reset the flash tool so it will work with your Jeep if you purchase a GDE tune.
