So I have recently installed Weeks 1&2 kits and while I had the intake tube off I noticed a ton of sludgy mess up in the intake manifold. I scooped some out while I was in there but I was pressed for time so I simply buttoned everything back up and got the jeep running again. Is there any product/technique we can use to thoroughly clean out all of the mess that the EGR dumped in there that doesn't require taking off the manifold?

Not that I am aware of. I had my manifold off when i did my rockers and studs, and while its not pretty, I really dont think there is much if any effect on performance. Once you get to the intake runners there is only the thinnest layer because the air is moving to fast at that point. I am pretty sure the head and valves are more of a restirction.

No there isnt, and if you could, you really wouldnt want that stuff to go through the engine. I took mine off and had it hot tanked at an engine machine shop, along with the head, when i did timing belt and studs. Its perfectly clean after 50,000 miles.

A engine flush, added to the engine oil, will not clean the intake manifold.
