Has anyone else experienced this same condition when trying to start their vehicle?

Click, no start for a millisecond then quickly fires up without the key ever disengaging. Also, soon after that no start hesitation and while driving away from that spot, the engine sputters and the CRD dies, goes into limp home mode with no visible engine code light on, no visible engine code showing. The ECU never registered a problem.

Then turn the key to the off position, wait a half a second and turn the ignition key to the start position, engine fires up just fine with no issues.

Any ideas?

Never heard of that issue, it is a new one!
Possibly a bad ignition switch maybe???

Mine always pauses for a little bit before it cranks. The ECU controls the starter so I assumed it was something to do with GP management.
