Hello, I have a 2005 CRD Liberty and want to install EVIC w/ the smart TPMS (actually shows tire pressure). Do the CRDs use a different EVIC? The one I am looking at is 56010438AC, can I tell what kind of TPMS it is? Jacob |

Well I bought the 56010438AC. I read that it worked for someone else's 2005. I will let you all know if it works but it will be a while. I think my rockers just failed after owning the Jeep for less than a week. ![]() |

Don't think you'll get the tire pressures to work. I don't know anyone that has been successful doing that. Also, not sure if the part you chose will even work with the ambient temp. Look at this thread for some more details: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=79744 |

If your Jeep has the Tire pressure sensors in the wheels, then the EVIC will connect to the system and read the tire pressure. if your system has the correct BCM that mates with the Tire pressure sensors then adding the EVIC model with TPS will mate with the system, if you don't have that then it's a waste of time and money. Ask me how I know. And I have an EVIC with TPS for sale. |

I thought I had read a post earlier were someone used this part number in this year and it worked. I guess I will find out. If the TPMS doesn’t work, I won’t care that much, it would be nice to see the tire pressure but far from critical. I mostly got it so that I can change options and program the keyless entry on my replacement keys. When GDE made my tune, I had them turn off the transponder security in the column so that I didn’t have to get the keys programed. The jeep only came with one. Something about that change wont let me use the keyless learning function involving the key in the column. I actually don’t know how useful the EVIC is otherwise. I just figured I rather have that then pay the dealer to program my key. |

Check if you have a reputable locksmith in your area. Those that do automotive services will likely be able to program keys for you, for less than the stealership. |

With having the immobilizer in the steering column defeated I don't kneed the keys programed. I just had them cut at Walmart and I have already used them and they work fine. The keyless remote on the key needs programed. The owners manual said I can initiate this with the EVIC. I'd rather buy that then pay a person to program the keys. I will always have the EVIC after. |

If you have an integrated key, programming the key also programs the Remote portion. |
