Hi, Hope you are all well, I have a 2005 KJ 2.8 diesel with NSG370 transmission 6 speed manual. I've never done a clutch but going to give it a go, I've read a fair bit and seen visual images on previous posts so I have a rough idea. I'm ordering parts at the moment and I'm stuck with what part for the crankshaft flywheel pilot bearing. Could you please help as I would like to have all parts before I begin. Thankyou

I'm seeing 53009180AB listed for the 3.7L with the NSG370 but I can't find anything for the diesel; it's possible they use the same one but I really couldn't say for sure.

Yeah thanks I've been searching heaps myself and come up with all models except 2.8 will take a look at part number you have written. Thank you for taking the time, much appreciated.

The manual transmissions are a mystery to us in the USA for the most part, as they sold zero. But, I just wanted to verify that you have 6 speed? Have you had any problems with it slipping out of reverse? They had to make a kit for that problem, but I'm wondering if it's very common. When you do find the correct part please post it here, as a number of us want to make a manual transmission version, although only 272 ft lbs of torque max is disappointing for the nsg370

Yeah this particular wee truck is quite rare 2005/6 kj 2.8 crd over here. Hard for parts get most of my mods come from the USA. Its definitely a six speed plus reverse. I haven't had any problems with reverse currently 105000 miles, but 1st and 2nd bit iffy at the moment that why I'm going in to take a look clicking sound bellhousing when clutch pedal pushed down, going to change all relevant parts. I will be sure to post part for pilot bearing rear crankshaft when I know.
Have a great day

Interesting, I guess most European kj's are the 5 speed?
Thanks for the info

Tough one! Looked through everything I had on file and found no listing for just the pilot bearing for a 2.8 diesel! :banghead:

These are the part number listings I found:
    53009181AB Jeep Liberty (KJ) (2005) w/ 2.4L engine
    52104337AA Jeep Liberty (KJ) (2003-2004) w/ 2.4L engine.
    53009180AB Jeep Liberty (KJ) (2002-2007) w/ 3.7L engine.
