Flash, they kind of go in sync, oil and coolant. If you have high loads on the engine, like going uphill or towing, oil can get to 220-240, while coolant temps are 210-ish (I use the stock gauge and once torque pro while driving uphill, so take the coolant temps with a grain of salt). I don't find oil temps as being an issue under normal driving conditions and not towing a big weight uphill). In my opinion, oil temps are not bad, considering it never got pass 240 for me, and that was going uphill at 90 mph in the heat of the summer at about 100F. Normally, city drive for long periods of time, I see 220 maximum oil temp. FWIW, I have the probe on a sandwich plate pre oil filter.
