Hi, It runs fine when started, gave a good run, then switched of would not restart?
Possible fuel pressure? crank engine lot of fuel to injectors but have no pressure gauge to test pressure. Manually pumped filter housing (screw in plunger type) seams to operate ok.
With ign on, No live to crank sensor. Its a two wire with a braided earth? rev counter does not register anything when cranking. I have fit a new crank sensor and map sensor.
Cam sensor has a 12v feed to it and pulses when cranks.
I have no scanner or pressure gauge. I live in the middle of France, the garages around here just try sensors one by one ?
Can anybody help?

It's usually the crank sensor that fails intermittently when the engine is warmed up, and it doesn't tend to throw a code either

I tend to suspect the last thing done. Could it be a bad crank sensor, or a bad connector?

just like you said , car garages in your area , they tried replacing sensors and no luck , so i say look for big trucks garages , and ask them for help they have common rail fuel system in the engines , they can give advice regarding where to look if fuel rail pressure is a suspect ? there should be MAN or IVECO or MB dealer in your area , I'm sure they have friends at BOSCH fuel systems

I didn't know that was offered overseas, you might try to find a sprinter forum, those guys seem pretty mechanically inclined, and superturbodiesel.com is Mercedes only, but mostly older mechanical engines.

ok I'm just going to add , that on this forum we have guys with lot of experience , and I'm glad that guys with other brand diesel engines are looking for advice , so that makes this forum so good ,and lets work together and learn more from each other , so lets find out why this guy is not getting power at this crank sensor , hope somebody will chime in and get him a wire diagram to trace this wire harness

cheers
