Hi everyone, I write for advice on how to solve a problem that until now seems unresolved.
I took a kj 2.8 163 hp of 2006, very nice, but had a problem P0299 turbo low pressure. Driven by my mechanic he started testing the low-pressure tubes, which were ok, then checked MAP, MAF and solenoids, all right but the problem continued.
At this point the turbine was revised (2 times) nothing ever P0299, then it was thought of the EGR valve taped with a sheet (but not erased by ECU) the problem is still, though sometimes, once erased from Memory does not reappear but the machine is always in protection. Someone advised me that the problem comes from the EGR (erase it from the ECU) because even if taped was not deleted from the ECU.
All advice is welcome All the best

You say "EGR valve taped with a sheet."
Do you mean that you blocked the EGR port with some sort of metal plate?

You say "my mechanic he started testing the low-pressure tubes" and the hoses were ok.
What about the intercooler? Was the intercooler checked for leaks?

You say "the turbine was revised."
Do you mean that the turbocharger has been replaced?

Do you have a way of testing boost pressure from the turbo?
Or a scan tool that will give pressure readings from the MAP sensor?

P0299 means that you either have a boost leak or a problem with the turbo.
So keep checking for leaks.
Without knowing exactly what boost pressures you are getting its hard to know what to do next.
If the turbocharger was replaced, maybe the turbo actuator arm needs to be adjusted?

See this thread on how to make and install an EGR block off plate:> viewtopic.php?f=5&t=76576

See this thread on how to disable the EGR/FCV system in the ECM:> viewtopic.php?f=98&t=78418

Hope this helps?

Thanks for the help, I locked EGR with metal plate, the intercooler tubes held, the turbo was revisited twice, I can not test the turbo, but the one who checked it kept it on the test bench for 6 Hours last time, the actuator arm was checked.
The only thing that puzzles me is that by holding the tube that brings the air to the intercooler with a hand he feels a hiss and he has a depression, while in my kj my friend does not change anything, but the itercooler can obstruct With the time so much to give the problem p0299?
Thanks again to Riccardo

So my new mec after having tried all the kj sensors of a friend tells me it's the turbine, then I find an original turbine with 40,000 km (say better than regenerated) today mount and ....... nothing the Machine does not go. I told him to delete the EGR from the control panel and he confirmed that tomorrow he will do it (you know, they are all scientists if something goes wrong in their science will never admit it) I expect the result, but I do not know what to do anymore. At power-up speeds up immediately (like an accelerated rpm 1800) then returns to idle. What can I still check?
If tomorrow I do not solve the sell even in pieces (it is beautiful)
P.S. I also thought they had left some rag inside the ducts.
Sorry but I do not know where to blink my head.

Good evening everyone has still stopped buying a new original garrett turbine the car does not go, they told me to test the wiring of the water temperature sensor, but what is weird is that there is always the initial accelerator up to 1800 rpm Go back to about 900.
Why is the car cool when it's cold? Because the control unit is in closed loop when switching to open loop happens this, in open loop which signals arrive at the control unit more? It is a problem of temperature sensors (water or air MAP) .for anyone who has an idea whatever it is is well accepted. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
