 Post subject: Jeep not charging

'02 Jeep Liberty 3.7 L. not charging, alternator checked ok. I was told that the computer controls the charging. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Let's back up a few steps...

Have you had the battery tested by a reputable shop? You know, the ones that don't have a cashier with hoops in their ears!

This post doesn't need to be in the CRD section, but let us know if the battery has been tested properly and checks out good. If it does, then we'll move on to the next step. Also, I have seen alternators check out OK that ended up being bad. You might want to try swapping it out with another one just to be sure, before you go tearing the electrical system apart looking for gremlins. NAPA sells a good quality unit with a nice warranty for around $150 if my memory serves me correctly.
