I have a new issue that's come to light on my new CRD. I have been using my OD off button to control my speed on long downhill grades while towing and I started noticing that sometimes it would not shut off requiring me to pull over, shut off the motor and restart it to get overdrive to work again. The other day when I first started it the OD off light was on and had to shut it off to reset it and it also took a while for reverse to engage. Any suggestions? I'm going to town to have someone pull the codes.

I mine, the OD button gets kinda sticky and I have to push it 2-3 times to get a response.
Could also be a wiring problem somewhere underneath the center console.
Whenever you turn the key off then on again, OD always resets to the ON position.

If you are having problems engaging into any gear while stopped (especially when cold), check the fluid level while idling in neutral.
Fluid should be at or above the full-hot mark, even when cold.

Fluid levels are fine. Tranny and button work flawlessly most of the time. I think I have an electrical ghost...
