| Post subject: | P0183 Code |
Hi all. Sorry for this but I can't get my computer to do a search here. I have a P0183 code and I just changed the oil and fuel filter. Vehicle runs fine but not sure what to do with this. Should I unplug the fuel filter heater and check the contacts? |

P0183 is the fuel temp sensor in the fuel filter head. Its either unplugged, has a broken wire, or a bad sensor. If its a bad sensor, you will have to replace the fuel filter head. |

If you don't have the updated filter head now would be an opportune time to install. |

Has the updated filter head. I plugged it in after a filter change. Just unplugged it and plugged it back in to see if it's a bad contact. Thanks |

I don't know if the heater / temp sensor ring is SOLD separately, but it IS it's own changeable component. |
