I searched through the forum and could not find this specifically, so here goes.

At 200000kms I replaced both front wheel bearing hub assemblies as they where getting noisy and vibrating under side load. I purchased Timken assemblies assuming better quality, and I have used them previously in my gasser. Now, at 240000kms, the new bearings seem to be getting noisy, particularly when a side load is present, indicating bad bearing hubs again. I have checked to make sure the half shaft nuts were still torqued to spec, which they were. This vehicle is not driven off road either. Has any board member had recent issues with Timken front hubs? Is there a better quality replacement?

just thinking out loud, if your front springs are sagging (and lots of ours are) they could be stressing the hubs...

Timken outsourced their auto bearings, so they are not actually made by timken as years ago. Get skf or other brands.

Regarding longevity, take out the abs sensor and grease the heck of the bearing, it will last forever.

Springs and shocks were replaced on all four corners about 20000km prior to the bearing replacement.

Not clear on the path of removing the ABS sensor to grease the wheel bearing?

Real simple.
Remove front ABS sensor.
Squirt grease into the hole.

Just don't snap the sensor in half trying to get it out.

Right, the sensor is probably stuck in there, so clean the surroundings well then use some pb blaster around it. Get a pair of pliers and gently twist it left-right, not too hard to snap it in 2. With patience and pb blaster it will come out.

Of course, you'll need to remove the wheel, caliper and rotor first.
