Someone else can likely elaborate on this more, but the Yeti tunes only change a handful of parameters in the ECU where as the GDE tunes change more as well as make changes to fuel mapping. I think GDE recently incorporated an elevated idle feature as well for cold weather.

The GDE is professionally created and tested and validated under a variety of conditions.
It is programmed specifically to your CRD and is garanteed to work in accorance with you VIN.
It provides:
Increased power
Improved fuel economy
Reduced EGR function.
Eliminated EGR, FCV, MAF, and inlet pressure sensor codes when those parts are deleted.
And excellent customer service.

The DIY tunes require you to first purchace a $30 MPPS cable/software and scan your ECM version number using a windows laptop.
If your version number matches one of the already available DIY tunes then you are good to go for loading the tune. If it doesnt match, then you will have to convice someone to write a tune for you or you will have to do it yourself.
The DIY tunes provide:
Increased power
Removed codes for EGR and FCV deletion.

(I'm currently using one of the DIY tunes)
