After a long stretch of problem-free driving (that's like 6 months in CRD talk!) the Italian Princess is starting to misbehave again.
I had it do this to me about a year ago, but it's now done it to my wife and my daughter twice in 2 weeks.
The episode unfolds like this: Jeep starts and runs fine, after driving several miles and getting up to normal operating temps (and usually after slowing down and then accelerating again) the Jeep starts losing power and won't accelerate, as you slow down and pull over to the side of the road it starts bucking..put it into neutral or park and it will idle okay, but try to accelerate and it sounds like you have the choke on...turn it off and restart one or two times and it's back to normal...until the next time!
I am planning on taking this thing to Colorado and doing some 4X4 driving in a month so I"d like to nail down this issue quickly! Any ideas?? All fluids are normal, slight coolant usage, no smoke on start up, timing belt has about 30K miles on it, only ongoing issue is the tranny fluid runback problem.
