Post subject:  rear coil springs

when we put in the lift pump I noticed the rear coil springs were extremely loose to the point you could just about pull them out. is this normal????? the reason I ask is there is a klunking sound on rough gravel roads almost like a broken or leaked down shock.

yes mine is the same the can be almost removed. The noise is probable the upper stabalizer bar Does it make the noise when reversing and then forward

no it only does it when traveling over rough and semi rough surfaces

Probably either a loose shock mount or worn out bushings.
