My CRD is sounding like a freight train going down the road, mostly coming from the front end. I know some of you have experienced this type of noise and pinpointed it to an axle. Could you describe what your problem was, I cannot locate the problem and it is getting louder the more I drive it? |

So I'm assuming the rumbling sound and not the horn blowing??? Jack up each wheel or get it on a lift and spin each tire as fast as you can. One should make noise and you can trace it to it's source but it's probably a CV axle. Any alignment shop should be able to do this for you. |

It could be a hub bearing. |
