Post subject:  Eliminating turbo vane stiction

I removed my turbo a while back, for inspection and off vehicle vane cleaning. When i re-installed it, I lubricated the entire thing with Militec1 , then took it for a LONG HARD rip in hot weather up some serious mountain highways here. While it was hot, i removed it again and let it soak in Militec1, then re-installed it. After 5000KM (about 2 weeks) I removed it again and inspected it. There was little in the way of ash/soot build up on the turbo vane, compared to before with just using high end synthetic diesel oils.

observations. After the turbo cleaning and Militec1 additive, both on the turbo and in the engine oil, the turbo seems to be spooling up faster and has a very smoooooooth sound. Very pleasant actually.

nothing scientific here, just personal observations. I do not get endorsed by Militec, but have used their product for over a decade, with great success. Notably in my B2200 mazda pickup truck (350,600 KM) . I was having EGR sticking issues, the valve would stick open or shut and the engine would buck and shake. I removed the EGR valve and cleaned it (ultrasonic cleaner and used a heat gun to heat it up and i soaked it in Militec. That was 200,000 KM ago. it opens and closes without issue and never has soot buildup. Before i was doing 5000KM service intervals on the EGER , with carb cleaner.

something to try.

Im a firm believer that using Militec in the CRD engine WILL eliminate turbo vane stiction, and valve stiction issues as well. For the record I change my oil every 5000 KM , and i use Delvac ESP 0W40 Mobil diesel oil and Mobil M1-301 filters. Thats an oil change every 3000 MILES>
