I found out that my AC fan is dead. I can't seem to locate a reasonable cost replacement, but thought I saw that NAPA had the motor for it, for a little bit cheaper.

Does anyone know the part number, if it exists?

Any other options to replace this fan for a decent price?

Thanks

I"m not sure who it was.. my poor memory is think it was Mountainman.. but in the last year, someone posted pics showing that the Jeep shared the fan motor with ...IIRC... a Ford Thunderbird.

Looking for it now.

[edit] Wrong on both counts.
It was Fitty, and it was a PT Cruiser.

PT Cruiser electric fan motor (rad fan) is the EXACT same motor as the CRD. Save yourself $300 and hit the wreckers.

I'm not sure, but I would guess '03-'07 would be a safe bet, and If you can't find one, check the Neons too. They share a lot with the PTCruisers.

YUP
When they first came out with the "autocross ready" model, (ACR?) a friend bought one for his Hillclimb Racing habit. (NHA)
Within 10 months it was abandoned in his back yard because he couldn't finish a race due to things breaking, and his wife cut off his repair budget.
He had to resort to his old '86 Shelby-Omni GLH-S when she wasn't racing it.
I Moved, and lost contact with him a couple years later, and found out he'd passed a few years after that.
Don't know what happened to the Neon or if it ever finished an event in it's existence or not.
Not that I care either (about the car)
