No.
Swollen caliper pistons are the cause.
These calipers are well known for getting sticky as they get old.
What exactly are your symptoms?
Agreed, can be the caliper pistons sticking, but note, it can also be the flexible rubber rubber hoses that go to each caliper need to be replaced!
When the hoses get old with age, they can collapse internally allowing brake fluid to pass through the hose under the higher pressure of breaking, but do not let the low pressure fluid pressure return back to the master cylinder normally once the brake pedal is released, thus allowing a small amount of pressure remain on the caliper pistons holding the pad slightly against the rotor causing them to eventually overheat and start smoking! As they heat up, the heat can increase the pressure and exacerbate the situation!
Seen this a bunch of times in my experience over the years on vehicles with age...
Solution: Replace the rubber hoses!
