Getting Brake & ABS error lights, Solus scanner shows live graphing with no problem - speeds match, no drop of signal when I get the error. However we cleared all codes and the new error code is for a Left & Right Rear wheel speed sensor. Trouble is - there is no left/right rear speed sensors, it's a single unit in the diff?

The single unit has been replaced about 3 weeks ago due to a similar issue - was ok for a couple of weeks but now it's a different in that I get the error light but when it happens the peddle definitely feels like ABS is trying to activate just before the error. I found one reference to this searching the forum but no solution (from about 2 years ago). I dropped a PM to the OP but if anyone else has some insight on this I would love to hear it. My son is an experienced Ag-diesel/auto mechanic and he's pretty stumped. The Solus Scanner is fully up-to-date with latest software.

The 05 single rear speed sensor is notorious for having a problem with connection due to breaks, causing intermittent signals, INSIDE the wiring to the sensor. Check for 05 rear speed sensor (on differential) wiring kit - Mopar PN 05014002AA or industry PN DK44956W or Dorman 970-069 and wiring pigtail (wiring tends to break inside insulation) Standard Motor Products S799

Thanks for the information Papindigo.

I have been having intermitent abs signal and also abs and brake warning lights.

No codes detected on $99 code and ABS reader from Autozone.

Ordered both wiring harness and rear sensor.

Mine ended up being broken wires inside the insulation. No physical indication. Ended up cutting back and replacing the wires and protecting with a better plastic sheath.

I have had ABS errors twice and both times it was due to a broken wire where it went through a wire tie.
