Well I am removing head to replace gasket and I hope thats all, it should be.
I removed all the manifold bolts with turbo intact because I think I saw where paradingo stated he got all his off with turbo in place ( its actually not near as difficult as i thought it would be
At this point manifold moves about quarter inch away from head fairly easy and I can lift the intake side of head up fairly easy
I don't want to try to move head toward drivers side if there are dowels from block like the head has and if there are can i lift whole head up enough to take off in this direction?
I get the sense I won't be able to pry manifold away from head far enough without undoing something such as turbo oil lines or support bracket or exhaust downpipes. I know if i got all the studs out i could lift straight up but one stud was broken off when i went to remove nut and its one i cannot possibly get to

Doe anyone who has done it know how to proceed from here or should I just take turbo off?

Just take the turbo off.
Some people take the head off with the exhaust manifold and turbo still attached to the head.
But its kinda heavy and unweildy.

Thanks, I went ahead and removed exhaust downpipe and removed the turbo support bracket and that gave enough movement to get the head off but then I went ahead and took oil lines off to make it easier to replace.
I think I will still remove turbo from manifold before replacement at this point its only 4 more bolts. Should have planned on doing it that way from beginning.
