Does anyone know if the flash tool can be used for multiple vehicles? I just bought a second CRD.

I tried mine to read a code on my Mom's Chevy about a year and it would not communicate with the Chevy at all. So it can only read codes for others of the same model/engine/cpu type unless you use software to wipe and reprogram the tool.
