Found my wires on the passenger rear side had been cut by rodents, probably mice.
Repaired the cut by soldering and heat shrink.
Have driven over 50 miles and the light is still on.
Tried disconnecting the battery for 1 hour, didn't help.
Actually 3 lamps are lit, ESP/BAS, the traction lamp TC, and ABS.

Can't seem to find any threads here on the terms in my thread title.

HELP !!

Wonder if the passenger side rear wheel sensor shorted out or some such. Since you mention ESP I assume it's an 06.

Yes, it's an '06.
Went looking outside this forum (Google) and found some responses on resetting. All say the same.

1. Start the vehicle.
2. In park, turn the steering wheel all the way to the left.
3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right.
4. Return wheel to center.
5. Go for a drive, lights should go off when vehicle shifts into 2nd gear.

I'll give it a try, if not I guess I'll replace the right rear sensor, part # 52129178AB & try to find a wire connector with a length of wire attached.

this was a problem for me too. mine was a bad wire harness at the left rear wheel to where it entered the body. some of the wire was broken and it wasnt staying clipped to the wheel speed sensor

If the light is on, there pretty much has to be a code. Have you checked for those?

The code reader I have is the one that came from GDE with my Eco tune. I have checked & there are no codes (no CEL either).
I did read in another Jeep Forum that the code reader at AutoZone can diagnose the ESP BAS circuitry & tell you what is wrong. The read at O'Rielly, won't, the thread also said.

It does depend on what they use, but my experience is they will check it for free, so hitting all the shops and seeing what they come up with wouldn't hurt?

Most "code readers" will only read OBD2 codes, you need a good quality scanner to be able to read the codes in other modules.
You should probably replace that ABS sensor that had mouse damage, those wires are twisted and shielded and because of that they aren't repairable.

Our local AutoZones don't have a ABS reader & no CEL codes come up on my OBDII reader.
I've ordered 2 new sensors & a guy on eBay is selling a length of wire & the sender too, which I also bought. The rodent had gnawed the wires right at the the connector as well as a few inches back so each wire has at least 2 soldered splices in them. With this simple repair I'm still getting the 3 bulbs lit up. My current wires do have continuity from the connector back to about 2' away. I'll 1st replace the sensor than if that doesn't work, I'll replace the length of wire & only have the 1 solder joint in it. I know changing the length of a wire will change the over all resistance of the length of wire, I just don't know if the computer is sensitive for Ohm's of resistance as well as sensing unequal left/right wheel movement.

Overall resistance is part of the FSM checks for system shorts, so I've assumed that the system is sensitive to it. To what degree, I don't know.

Finally got the lights to go out by replacing the sensor and a short length of wire & the connector that I bought on eBay.

Another thing worthy to note,
when the 3 lights mentioned light up, the cruise control will not function either.

I had this same problem with no codes, so perhaps I will check the wiring going to the sensors. I would really like to have my cruise control back!

If the wires seem intact from the sensors all the way to where they enter the vehicle's body under the rear driver's side passenger's seat, I'd then replace both rear sensors as you can buy a pair on eBay for about $25. It's easier to remover the sensor with the wire attached (use a 10mm socket). The the red thing comes out 1st but you have to lift the red hook on the end closest to the sensor 1st to push it out. Careful, or you could break it.

The fronts are replaceable too, the wire housings seem to be much stouter, but I've read they are harder (slower) to replace.
