I have lived with a P0102 code for a long time. Just ignored it and kept it unplugged.
Well, now I would like to dig into it and try to figure it out.
I'd like to start by testing the sensor.
I should be able to do some resistance tests on the MAF sensor pins.
Any ideas on what those resistance values should be?

I've checked the harness connector pins.
There is a +12v, +5v, and a ground. So that part seems good.

Presumably, the +12v is for the heating element inside the MAF and the +5v is for the sensing element. Does this sound correct?

Nope.
Going off the 2005-up connector shown above...

My connector is:
pin 6- no wire
pin 5- +5v
pin 4- +12v
pin 3- no wire
pin 2- ground
pin 1- has wire but no voltage and no continuity to ground

I had the same issue and it was the sensor. I replaced it and it now works.

As far as I know it works similar to the map and fuel rail sensor. 5v is for the signal and whatever is sent back to the Ecu is based off the 5v base. 12v is to heat the element.

The repair manual does not give a good explainantion as to how it works, only how to test it for various codes.

5v is supplied to the sensor wire
Movement of air across the wire changes the temperature therefore resistance. Changes in air velocity and air density and temperature change the effect.
The resulting voltage is fed back to the ECM via the #1 pin.
