I searched through past posts and could not find an answer to my question. Anyone using the MBRP Cat-Back exhaust on a CRD. I am curious as to the noise level inside the vehicle, drone at highway cruising speeds? I previously installed one of their systems on my '02 Ram Cummins and while it fit and performed great, I found the drone at highway speeds a bit much and installed a second resonator (from MBRP) to tame the drone. I don't believe a second resonator would be an option on the CRD due to space limitations. Any experience with the MBRP on a CRD KJ out there?

Cannot speak as to the MBRP system, but:
I have a Flowmaster 942542 Series 40 Delta Flow, 2.50 Center In / 2.50 Offset Out muffler installed with NO CAT and still using OEM tailpipe from muffler to rear exit and get absolutely no drone at any speed. Never even hear it with windows rolled up and AC and / or radio on!
Replaced CAT and choke point with straight piece of exhaust tubing.
Total cost with labor by a local exhaust shop to install was around $150.00 ( I supplied the muffler from local parts store)

Just a reminder to save the CAT if you elect to have it removed. If you sell in the future it may be to someone where vehicle inspections look for a CAT. Some say you can just gut the CAT and leave it in place so it's visually there but no functional. Just saying.

The problem I had with that, is both the Cat and the muffler, as well as the spring-ball coupler between them have sections fore and aft, that are necked down to 2" OD (1 7/8" ID). To rid the system of all of these requires removing all from in front of the Cat to the rear of the muffler. (The flex-section just after the downpipe isn't reduced, and helps reduce noise and vibration.)
I used the flowmaster linked in my sig, and tucked it up just behind the rear crossmember. Like WWDiesel, I used the factory exhaust from there through the tailpipe.
