So I finally installed a carter lift pump with the sasquatch harness last sunday. Everything was working fine. Until last night. Went to start it after coming out of a convenience store and it just cranked and cracked. I had to pump up the hand primer to get it to start. I don't hear the pump spinning anymore. I'm having trouble figuring out which fuse and relay controls the pump. Any Ideas?

I believe it is fuse 24 in the power distribution center under the hood.
The relay is located in the power distribution center as well.
IF you flip the cover off the power distribution center, it should tell you the location of both items.

Also you can see the FSM (factory service manual) for wiring diagrams, section 8W.
online at:> http://www.colorado4wheel.com/manuals/J ... Manual.pdf

I would check the wiring you installed and make sure you have power going to pump. Voltmeter or 12v test light.
Power should be on for first 15 seconds or so as soon as you turn the key on, then 12v should be present and continuous at all times while the engine is running...

I was looking at the owners manual under the power distribution center for the gasser since I didn't see any mention of fuel pump under diesel. I was thinking it would be f24 as well. Turns out under the distribution center cover f17 and r38 are both labeled fuel priming. The 10 amp fuse in f17 was burnt out. After a visual inspection ( basically everything except for the plug on top of the tank ) I popped in a 15 amp fuse because I didn't have any 10's and the pump started up and seems all good. Time will tell.

Not a good idea to replace a 10amp fuse with a 15amp one although short term it's ok. I'd recommend getting a 10amp, assuming that's the correct size, replacement in the near future. If the 10amp blows again then you need to track down why.

15 amp should be good for now; if it blows it, I would looking for problem!
The in-tank pumps do not have a history of any failure problems. They are pretty robust!
If it is pulling too high of amps, there must be a reason.
Glad you found the problem!

Is the pump good? I realize it's probably new but they can fail.

Yup. The pump's all good. Have had a 10 amp fuse back in there, no problems. Guess it was just a bad fuse
