So I just got my glow plugs all properly plugged in (yeah, the plug was loose on... #3 and fell off. FML) and got my state inspection done, and now I squeak with every bump on the road and nudge of the steering wheel. I PASSED the inspection with nothing but a mention that my tail light housing is cracked. What could they have done or what could be wrong? I'd love to think I just need to grease something, but it went fro no noise to BAD. IIRC it was slightly gritty steering immediately after, now it just squeaks all to hell. Trying to upload my dash cam vid to facebook, hopefully someone will recognize what/where it sounds like.

2:30 and 3:30 are good examples of all the bumps in the road. at about 4:00 I take a turn and steer back and forth after. At 4:25 someone seems to be running from the cops with a trailer, don't get hit.

Aww what would you expect from a Ford driver anyway? :ROTFL:

Honestly, most of what I could hear, was window down noise, and bass drum impact sounds.

I did hear something that made me think of worn upper shock/strut mounts I've encountered on other vehicles, but I've never gotten that with this one yet.

Sounds like something loose up front. Maybe a few bolts need to be tightened.
Check front shock mounts, upper and lower.
Check sway bar end links and sway bar bushings.
And definitely check both the upper and lower ball joints. When those wear out they separate and then you loose control of steering.

Well it was a really simple fix once I discovered I have greasable LBJs, but I still don't understand how it went from no noise before inspection to apparently empty (I pumped the hell out of that thing)
