Post subject:  trans dipstick grommet/oil cooler clip

I'm trying to find a good part number for a transmission dipstick tube grommet and the clips in the oil cooler line fittings.

In the process of changing the dipstick tube and grommet on my CRD as it leaks when I back it into the driveway(facing downhill). I bent the tube trying to get it out. And Napa gave me a generic grommet that is too small. If you pull the engine mount from the right side and the crossmember under the trans you can get it out(with out bending it). I thought I was going to have to pull the trans out again. Just did the transgo kit and the torque converter a few months ago. I lost one of the clips for the cooler lines as well.

Someone has had to have replaced these before. I'm going to call the dealer in the morning but I have very little faith in getting the correct parts from them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure on the grommet, but I got the oil cooler clips from the Irish parts store. I brought one with me and was able to find them in a little pack. Getting that upper oil cooler line in was one of the most difficult parts of my trans R&R.

Transmission Oil filler tube to Case grommet P/N: 04810021AB
Google this P/N or go here:> https://www.factorychryslerparts.com/pr ... 021AB.html

Transmission cooler line clips, there are two different styles in use (see diagram):
#5. a metal clip that simply clips both metal lines together (may be more than one of these used?)
#6. a plastic one that is anchored to stud on the engine oil pan. Both lines are clipped into this one and it slips over a stud on the bottom of the engine oil pan.
Note: Some just simply split a short length of 3/8 rubber or fuel hose and sandwich it between the two lines and secure it all with some good tie wraps.

Had trans dipstick tube fatigue and break, got correct tube and grommet but didn't figure out how to route the new one in - thanks for the tip.
