4:00 AM this morning, daughter's 2005 Jeep Liberty horn starts randomly honking in the driveway. I thought someone was messing with me. Loaded the 9MM and called police. Went out there. No one around. Tried pressing horn, turning engine on and off. Ended up disconnecting battery. Want to remove fuse, but it runs power windows, and power sunroof. Anybody have an idea? Thanks |

Just unplug the horn. It’s on the drivers side behind the front bumper. Attached to the frame rail. |

Horn relay could be stuck. Some models have a switch in the engine bay passenger side that senses if the hood is being forced open and blows the horn. This switch can fail or jam.....either disconnect it or short it out...cannot remember which way it should be. ![]() |

Check your battery. I had the same thing happen a few years ago....my horn just started going off for no reason. I had to pull the fuse to get it to stop. Even though it didn't have any issues starting or running....I replaced the battery based on age and the horn issue was gone. Jim |
