I'm pretty sure this guy is on LOST. James R. Philips, (fatguyrepairmanuals on eBay) you knew this was coming. This gent sold me a timing belt tensioner on eBay, and claimed it had only been used for a "few minutes". It in fact has the wear of 70,000+ miles. When I called him out on it, he first said that he would return my money, but then in the end he would only offer me another used piece of junk! I'd take him to court as a matter of principal, and to show the evidence to eBay,, but PA is a long ways off. So, I'm out $70, but he's out his reputation. If he reads this, I just want him to know that he stole from a disabled vet, and a single parent that raises two kids, one of which who is severely disabled. Sleep well. End of public service announcement |

End of public service announcement I would file a claim with eBay and then one with PayPal if you used them. I have had good results with both and PayPal actually issued me a full refund of the disputed charges in one instance! ![]() Vey reason I like PayPal and like using them to pay for stuff.... ![]() |

Around the end of January this year, I needed the bracket that connects the block to the passenger side of the turbocharger. I found one he had for sale, and in this transaction he was prompt, friendly, and square with me. He mentioned he had 2 CRD liberties operating and 2 more being parted out. It was based on this that I recommended him to some that were looking for crd parts. I don't remember details of who or what. I am really sorry If I was the one that recommended him to you, Mountainman, and I'm afraid it's likely. I don't remember who or for what, but anyone else who was treated this way and I made the recommendation, I sincerely apologize. Thanks for bringing it to attention. |

I have a bunch of these tensioners, that have various levels of mileage on them. You are welcome to them all when I come out there. Just let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I bought from him in the past also, and I gave him a chance to refund my money, but he opted to steal it. Hopefully PayPal will cover me, got a case opened. |

It was before he released it and i pre-purchased it at a discount in July. I believe he told me September was when he would have it ready, so right there I was beyond the paypal policy. I tried to get him to respond to email and phone number until December and finally decided to contact paypal. They wouldnt refund me the money but they sent him a warning and I finally heard from him. Ultimately, he still never built the rack(or sent it to me), but luckily I had used my credit card to fund the purchase in Paypal, so I just called them up and they reverse the payment 6 months after the fact. Moral of the story. Always used your credit card in PayPal lol. |

Good point on the credit card! Luckily wwdiesel reminded me to file a claim just inside the 45 days, but I also see a longer period of time listed. Well, either way I'm covered. Glad you got your $550 back! That's enough to take out a kneecap ![]() |

Glad you posted this, I've been debating on getting a piston from him. His eBay picture of the pistons make them look extremely rough. |

I know it's been a little while on this, but I've also seen this guy on Ebay. I've been debating on whether or not to buy an item from him. Looks like I won't be now. Thanks for letting us know how he operates. |

Update: not that it compensates for selling well used parts as new. But, soon after the PayPal claim was filed he sent me a full refund, thanks again WW! |
