I had done a Bi-Xenon retrofit right before I moved to Utah. No more than 3 months later my wife hit a deer which took out both headlights. I finally got around to tearing apart my headlights and getting everything back together.

By far the best headlights I ever owned for the 3 months I had them. I am excited to get them back in because the LED light bar just isn’t great for the street.

Here is my original thread:

Looks great. How did the ARB bumper fare with the deer? Any damage to it?

Ha, I got the bumper because of the deer. The front end was totally gone so instead of having the body shop put an OE bumper back on I bought the ARB and he gave me the price of the OE part back. Did the lift at the same time to support the bumper and already had the Moab’s waiting in the garage.

Best deer we ever hit.

That's great. I have been contemplating dropping the cash on the bumper myself for the same exact reason. I am wrapping up the OME lift install this week, so will be ready for that extra weight. Maybe I should just wait to hit one first based on the outcome of your experience :D

Not sure what other options are out there anymore, but I would skip the arb is favor of something cheaper if you can. It’s a lot of freakin money and just seems semi half assed. The bumper itself is solid but things like the turn signals and what not are not plug n play. The stock fog lights don’t fit anymore. They say basically every Toyota 4Runner/Tacoma fog since basically the early 2000’s fit, but the ones I bought weren’t even close. Had to build my own bracket.

ARB saved me 1000's of dollars over the years
5 deer at different times
a Toyota Camry
a GMC pickup
I have 500 deductible so figuring 500 X's 7 is 3500 bucks
bumper cost me 250 when I bought it in 2005 ( it was less than a year old :pepper: )
So even what they cost now , still a very wise investment

Thanks for the feedback guys. I would love to spend the $$$ on something more fun like lockers. But with ARB being the only option that I am aware of, I guess I will be going that route. I was hoping it would be more plug and play than having to fabricate brackets for the fogs.

Or you can find a local fabrication shop to weld something up for you.
I’m sure there are several off road shops in your area that specialize in that sort of thing.

I do have a friend who is a shop foreman for a farm implement manufacturer. He has fabricated several custom pieces that we needed around the farm over the years. I will run it by him and see how he feels about it.

You can buy ARBs fogs and they should drop right in but I assume you still have to do the wiring. I bought some Toyota fogs that were not close
