I plan on replacing my water separator on my CRD with a Racor based on the two examples posted. However both write up lack any kind of wiring diagram or explanation of what what wire goes where. i know some may say its pretty self explanatory but i like details just in case something isnt as clear as it looks. Does any one have or know where i can find an 2005 Liberty CRD wire diagram for the water separator?

See section 8W-30 FUEL/IGNITION SYSTEM, page 8W-30-26 in the online factory service manual! > http://www.colorado4wheel.com/manuals/J ... Manual.pdf

Note: I changed my WIF sensor to a Racor a few years ago so I could run a Donaldson primary water separator and clear water bowl filter setup and I simply cut the OEM WIF sensor wires and wired them to the larger Racor sensor. I don't believe it really matters how you wire it as long as both wires are connected as the ECM is only looking for a change in resistance across the sensor.... :wink:

Thanks, that is exactly what i was looking for. In case anyone needs to look up this info in the future, the main walkaway here.

Temp Sensor:
Brown/Yellow = Signal
Dark Blue/Dark Green = Ground

Water in Fuel Sensor:
Brown/Orange = Signal
Brown = Ground

Fuel Heater:
Red = Signal
Black = Ground

So Fuel Heater was straight forward, and the WIF sensor does make an internal loop so it the wiring on it can work backwards.
