Has been 7 months without a even a minor problem, until first chilly morning, TC shudder/stall at first stoplight of the morning. So just got the Suncoast TC from Seth installed and back on the road bout $1700 lighter.

No I didn’t, I ask the shop to decide if it needed anything else, they are a race shop and told me the test they did before they disassembled it looked great and tranny was super clean so I went with their advice since already in for $1600, hope no regrets, works great so far......

Know it is a little late, but wish you had asked before having the TC installed!
Anytime this transmission comes out for TC or any other repairs, the front pump assembly should be replaced with the newer updated pump assembly.

The oil pump consists of two independent pumps.
The oil pump also contains a number of valves; the converter clutch switch and control valves, pressure regulator valve, and converter pressure limit valve are all located in the oil
pump valve body assembly.

All of these plungers and their associated bores are wear items and any transmission that has sustainable wear from a lot of miles should have their front pump replaced if possible.
The torque converter shudder and subsequence engine stall right after a cold start and driving a few hundred feet and coming to a stop is a sure sign of a front pump TC lockup plunger hanging in its bore...
