Anybody else have a sound which sounds like a 1" nut in a coffee can rolling over on 3 or 4 faces of the nut when you take off in 4wd? Happens in both part and full time.

Edit: I only hear it if my window is down and I don't hear it in 2wd. Is it some sort of automatic hub engaging sound?

Wow, that’s an oddly specific description.
Have you looked for any coffee cans stuck underneath your Jeep?

Seriously though, my first guess would be a worn out joint on the front driveshaft. It’s a very common problem.
If you remove the front driveshaft, drive it around in part-time 4wd, and the sound goes away, that is most likely the problem.
