That code is for a bad o2 sensor.
Your CRD doesnt have any o2 sensors.

Either your code reader is misreading the codes or some other electrical fault is triggering the code.

Do you have any odd vehicle behavior along with it? That is an elusive code and people don't usually find a solution that fixes it easily. A few quick and easy things to check...

1) Depress the brake pedal with a brick or something heavy and walk around the vehicle and make sure all the brake lights are working (including the 3rd brake light above the rear glass).
2) Have your battery and alternator tested at a local parts store. I prefer NAPA or Carquest as they tend to know a little more than the Autozone/Advance-Auto dweebs. They are less likely to tell you your battery is toast when it really isn't.
3) Drink a few beers to lower your blood pressure and start checking wires! You'll want to check all the common ground points including the one under the battery tray behind the headlight. The wiring harness has a known failure point behind the fuel filter housing near the firewall and potentially anywhere that wires are in close proximity to hoses and other engine parts (everywhere, I know). Something as simple as exposed wiring rubbing against a bracket from engine vibration will wear through it and start to cause odd codes like this along with erratic behavior like lights flashing and doors locking/unlocking.

Welcome to the wonderful future of electronically controlled automobiles!

Sounds more like a battery issue to me. Hopefully it isn't one of the control modules. It may be worth checking all your fuses and relays before spending any money on it. Get the battery and alternator checked if you can and report back with the findings.

What voltage should I see at the alternator with the engine running? I did overload the alternator a while back trying to charge a dead battery

Normally it should be in the neighborhood of 13.5 -14.5.
A good test is to start engine, turn on headlights to bright, then read the voltage at the battery.
If if drops below 12.5 volts, the alternator may have problems and should be removed and taken to a repair facility for through bench testing.
