So I watched the videos. To ensure I do this right, the intake manifold will not seat if I have the locking pins in. So I took them out and now it sits flush am I ok to install it then Time it once I get the manifold bolted back down?
You can install the locking pins and then install the intake. Just use the alignment pins to drop the valve cover down straight to avoid knocking off rockers.
Then follow the torque procedure in the manual for the valve cover, slowly compressing the valves open as you run the intake down.
Or you can install without the pins in and then later turn the cams so the pins can be inserted.
