OBD II P081C

OBD-II Code Engine may not start is defined as a Park Input Circuit

The engine computer (PCM) verifies that the transmission is in Park/Neutral before allowing the vehicle to crank. If the Transmission Control Module does not tell the PCM it is okay to crank the vehicle, code P081C will be set.

Definition of check engine code P20C1:
Generic (Common for all car manufacturers):
Reductant Heater "C" Control Circuit/Open

Have you had a battery voltage issue recently? Jump start? Sometimes voltage instability can cause wacky code to pop up.
The second one should only apply to diesels with the blue fluid exhaust treatment.

A while ago I had the second battery die and the alternator was struggling to maintain voltage to the starting battery. Dead battery has been replaced and I assumed that would have fixed the problem.
Where do you find these code references, I havnt had any joy searching for them other than asking the question on here. There is an amazing amount of knowledge on this forum.

That was a direct copy and paste from WWW.autocodes.com. Enter the code and the manufacturer, it will give you the info.
