Hey Guys,
It looks like my P0299 code is caused by a broken hose that looks to go from the turbo actuator nipple (thats my name for it), to a vacuum type thing on the passenger side of the engine bay. On the first image I think it is the far left hose (left of the number 1). The hard plastic hose is also pictured in the second image, starts on the exteme left of the image and ends at the extreme bottom. Anyone know of a part number for this hose?

Just order some good silicone vacuum hose and use it to replace all the molded rubber hoses and flimsy plastic tubing.

That silicone vacuum hose looks a lot more durable. What size (i.e., ID) did you get? Was it 5/32" - 4mm ID?

I actually ordered several different sizes and extra amounts to have in stock for future use. 3.5mm, 4mm, 5mm, & 6mm.
I replaced ALL of the vacuum hoses in the engine compartment from the connection point on the brake booster over to the turbo vane controls and the hose to the HVAC controls.
There are two different size hoses, smaller one on turbo controls and going to vane actuator, and slightly larger ones on supply hoses to turbo vacuum canister and HVAC going into inside of vehicle.
I believe these were the sizes, but would have to go measure to be 100% sure since I had also ordered some 3.5mm hose.
Smaller hose was 4mm (5/32)
Larger one was 5mm (3/16)
Best to measure before ordering to be 100% sure.

If you are interested in a kit, let me know, I will have to look into putting one together and compute cost!
It would consist of all the necessary precut hoses labeled for location and necessary hose connections (plastic) along with written instructions and pictures.

Wow that's a great idea! I was just thinking of doing the same.
Let me know if you're doing a kit.
I would probably go with a black or blue hose though; make it less obvious :P

The hoses are silicone hoses, not plastic.
sent you a PM

Bringing this back up, I am going to be doing the head gasket and wanted to do this at the same time, do you have a kit for this or at least the numbers needed to order all of it?

Flex Technologies Incorporated has the silicone vacuum hoses in bulk by the foot at good prices.
https://www.siliconehose.com/

Order some 4mm & 5mm, it takes both if you want to replace all vacuum hoses under the hood.
I need to do a drawing showing all the hoses, sizes, fittings, and lengths. :juggle:

Does 10 foot of each sound like enough?

That is a gracious plenty! You will have some leftover for other projects or vehicles. :D
