I would start by doing a oil change and putting some fresh fuel in the tank.
Probably should replace the fuel filter too.
Get the fuel filter primed up and see if it will start.
Then go from there.

Check the oil level, add as needed.

Prime the fuel filter head to get fuel to the engine.

Check air filter for oil.

Start engine and prepare for smoke.

Been there, done that:

How's the body? If any part of the passenger cage has been damaged, I would be surprised if an insurance company would be willing to take on the risk.

There are lots of them floating around for sale (I also have one for sale at the moment) and depending on your insurance company you could end up with money left over letting them total it and buying it back to part out, AND still picking up another one.

did it land on it's feet? side? top? Did engine shut down pretty quick, or did it run-on for awhile?

If it sat on it's side or top for any length of time, I'd make dang sure you didn't get a little oil on top of the pistons.. It don't take much to hydraulic a piston top... or out the ccv and filled the turbo. (lot depends on angle and length of time sitting askew)
so HAND roll the engine over a couple of revolutions. Pull the intake hose off to look in the turbo.

Does the ecm register a 'roll over' and need attention?? :?:
