I haven’t driven my CRD in over a month.
Charged up the battery this morning and took it for a drive.
At first, very little boost, lots black smoke.
After about 5 minutes of driving, on and off the throttle to try to work the kinks out, normal boost resumed and drove perfectly for the rest of the trip.

This was not the first time this has happened after being parked for an extended period.
In fact, I totally expected it.
I always figured that it just took some time time to build up vacuum.
But this time I had let the Jeep idle for 10 minutes before driving.
And the vent positions all worked normally.

So I really don’t know what to think here.
Is it actually a vacuum problem or something else?
Once it’s worked out, all is good and stays good.

Well, sure, that’s the easy answer.
It’s never that easy

It’s just weird because once it’s freed up it will stay that way as long as it’s driven frequently. But after it’s been parked for several weeks...
