Post subject:  A couple of CRD issue.

First and foremost thank you in advance for any help with this.

I just purchased my first CRD and love it. Unfortunately a few months after purchasing it three rocker arms broke. I spent almost 8 month taking it apart and fixing it. In the process I installed a stage 1 and stage 2 sasquatch egr delete. The issue I am having now is I need to get rid of the CEL in order to get it inspected in New York. I purchased a usb/obd2 adapter and downloaded all of the necessary drivers and the mpps program to load the updated flash.

Yesterday I loaded the new flash into my liberty and after completing it I went to start it and I had nothing (it didnt even as much as click) and the little red light on the left hand side of the tach was on. Im assuming it has something to do with the key and programming but Im not 100% sure.

After I played with it for a few minutes I gave up and loaded the old ecu program back into the ecu and they key worked again and has ever since. Any ideas? After I flash the ecu with the new program do I need to reprogram the keys as well. If so how do I do that?

Thanks again!!

Nope on the keys. Try a different compatible tune, even if it's a hot tune just for testing. Did you make sure that it was the correct tune for your software?

X2. You have to be certain that you're using the proper tune. You can upload your original .bin file using dropbox and post a link to it in the diy tune forum post. Someone will confirm which files you need to use. It is not always 100% clear based on the file name. The wrong tune can cause issues like yours and even leave the ECU "wiped" and unusable. Just be sure you know what you're doing before you do it!

My 2 cents: Read original file from ECU and have someone on this Forum help with EGR/FCV delete, there are many capable users, just post on the DIY thread.

Too much risk in writing a random file from the internet and a mistake can end up in big $$. People sometimes forget DIY is not same as free.

The tune I used was from this forum. I have enclosed the link below.

viewtopic.php?f=98&t=78418&fref=gc

It was the tune for the get delete stock tune.
Here is the tune.

It is under Nicks 811 Egr/Fcv Tune https://www.dropbox.com/s/z7bsfko2gl3rk ... k_Tune.bin

1037380811 These are the numbers that are in the original file from my pcu after opened in notepad.

I believe that it is an 811 but it also has 808 so Im questioning which one it is now...
