I also like the Flowmaster build quality, but opted for the quieter 3 chamber 50 series growl

Single chamber 10 series bark is louder yet, and not significantly different than Flash's straight pipe turn-down.
Magnaflow makes a decent 2.5 x 2.5 muffler in stainless that's lighter and cheaper than the Flowmasters, last I checked.
If you don't need to have conversations or feel like listening to your stereo less than fully cranked, no muffler is cheaper than any muffler, so if you're going to pay extra for a muffler, make sure you're getting what you want.
Another thing - any system that terminates the pipe before fully exiting past the back bumper will dramatically increase inside drone.
One more thing regarding side exit turnouts - A tire at speed pushes a high air pressure wave in front, and a low pressure area behind. If you decide to terminate your exhaust in front of the rear tire, make sure the pipe extends at or beyond the outer side plane of the rear tire.
Obviously these details on their own are minor, but it's little things that can add up to a thoroughly enjoyable experience, or one that's ... not.
Given good information and recommendations, you can make it how you want.
