Started up in the morning, drove to work, parked. Came out at lunch and had a no crank condition. After swapping the starter relay with another I decided the starter relay was fine. Luckily I had a short piece of wire with me and I was able to jumper out the starter relay to crank the engine. With the key to on the Jeep starts like normal.

I haven't traced the issue back yet, but it may be related to the ignition switch/pin that seems to be a common failure, or perhaps some of Park-Nuetral switch sense.

Ignition switch actuator pin.

Mine is currently in need of one as well.
I have temporarily replaced the starter relay with about 8' of speaker wire, a couple of spade connector pairs, and a normally open momentary contact switch. As long as the key can turn to the "on" position, it works great. Redneck tech, for when you have no money for parts but a lot of random crap laying around, and a penchant for MacGyver fixes.

Yes, I also think likely. I need to figure out where all that stuff from the parts jeep went.

Jumping out the starter relay bypasses the ignition switch and the Park/Neutral interlocks.

First try starting in Neutral but most likely culprit is the broken Actuator Pin Assembly as stated!
