Every "Next Great Thing" must, at some point, progress from an idea, to physical action/form.
If the inventors did nothing until they had thought of and dealt with ALL of the "what ifs" and "why fors" and "who's gonna get pissed offs", nothing new would ever happen. There are examples of that in places around the world.

Gotta take a step and deal with what comes when it comes or someone else will, and beat ya to the market while you're daydreaming up potential problems that may or may not ever happen!

Oh I agree 100% on the how and why of any development or going forward;
But it seems this has already been addressed. :roll:

True, but then again, most things have.
In a free market economy, there's always room for another idea, improvement, or specialty mod. if you have the creativity and means to put it forth.

On a small scale, Jeff's thermostat is a very good example, and even though it "had already been addressed" by the factory one, and the cheap offshore models, he wisely targeted a market segment that wasn't currently addressed, and has continued to revise it to strengthen his position.

There are many other examples, but that's a good one with which most of us are familiar.

I never ever condemned or try to stop progression of the better mousetrap! I only threw out some off-the-hip concerns that may, might, or could be an issue.. :wink:
These days, in our libelous world we inhabit, thinking of all the crap that COULD possibly go south, or abused beyond intent... and preventing it from happening in the first place really takes out the creativity, or the wind out of the sails of progression.
Especially when something is bombing down a public road...
Oh, imagine the absolute cool ideas that have been sacked, or shelved... that we will never see... just for that reason!! Sad.
Personally, I don't care if I , or someone else runs off the road and dies due to recklessness, stupidity, or plain bad luck. It's when they take out a schoobus full of kids; I have major problems then.

I had a couple of semi trucks show up 3 days ago, to pick up some grain I sold.. sure enough, the newer trailer had 'abs equipped'. Got me thinking; So my search found that link.

Next time he shows up, i'll crawl under it and see how the heck an air brake system utilizes this!! It may be an air actuated hydraulic setup..
LOL, as of reading the first post on this thread, I too was unaware of any sort of abs on any trailer!!! Funny how just a simple post will get the wheels turning (pun intended) and 'discovery' ensues! :jester:

I just went through this with my Liberty.
I chose the Tekonsha Primus IQ.
On my 2006, the "blue" wire was actually RED labeled ELECTRIC BRAKE.

There are 4 wires to hook up:
-black to a 20A or 30A auto-reset circuit breaker by the battery and then to the positive battery post
-white to the negative battery post
-red to a wire off the brake switch (find the white wire with a tan stripe)
-blue to your blue (or red) ELECTRIC BRAKE wire

The ELECTRIC BRAKE wire is under a large white panel (it will be obvious) that you find behind the driver's side plastic kick panel.
This ELECTRIC BRAKE wire runs back to the passenger side cargo panel. It goes to a connector and can be cut off (find the mating pin if you don't like to cut wires).

The pin position for my 2006 was at the bottom right (or top left if upside-down :D). You can run a wire from there down to the 7-way connector, pin2.
