Managed to score 5 TJ Moabs from the denver upullnpay, also found an XJ freedom and grabbed two UltraStar wheels from it to add to the pile. I think I nearly 25 Ultrastar wheels now.

Also managed to grab a color matched hood for the diesel KJ:

Been dented up like this since I bought it in 2007:

Cool, our local yard doesn't have any KJs.

What's the fetish with the ultrastars?

I'd like to ditch my stock alums for some steelies.

I just really like the wheel. I never cared much for the factory KJ 16" alloys(that we don't even really have a name for).

The Ulrastar is bright silver, clean, elegant, with rounded curves and a 5 spoke design. I don't like wheels with a big "dish" or "lip" to them, I don't like hardly any aftermarket wheels, they just look gaudy or tacky to me.

Steelies can look ok, like functional and utilitarian, but most just look bad to me, huge dish, too wide and sticking out past the flares(and thus rubbing on them). What can I say, its personal preference for aesthetics, someone can have the exact opposite viewpoint(and usually do) from me. I will say though I think I end up being in the minority with what I consider aesthetically pleasing.

I’m a fan of plain and simple. I just want something black that looks like a “factory” wheel with the same dimensions. I’ve seen them advertised as winter wheels for snow tires etc.

So there is no real resale value to our no-name factory wheels?

Some value. Toss em on craigslist. Might get $100 for a set of 4.
