Hi all, I have this code showing, but I have not been able to find where this sensor is. Is it, in fact, the MAP sensor? Would that be it? Symptoms are extremely slow accelerating, and late shifts unless you lay off the accelerator. Thanks in advance. |

There is a pressure sensor on the air filter box. Don't remember its correct name. Think it is air inlet pressure sensor. Jntake pressure sensor may be the turbo boost sensor on the inlet manifold. John |

P1189 relates to the small sensor on the engine side of the air filter box, (nearest the viscous heater.) It's usually unplugged. They don't often go bad. Sometimes the connector comes part way unplugged if the loom is tight. Sometimes it's a parted wire inside the insulation, as it deals with a lot vibration. If it's tight when you plug it in, you shouild look for a different route for the wire loom. |
