Hello,

I've already post this message in another section. A forum's member advised me to repost the message in this section beacuse my question is about the 2.8L CRD on a Jeep Liberty (Cherokee) 2008.

So that's my question :

I just bought a Jeep Liberty KK (2.8 CRD 2008). The engine is blocked, I have to remove and disassemble it.

Is it possible to find a complete documentation (2008 Service Repair Manual for Liberty 2.8 CRD) in PDF version or numeric version for this engine ?

Thank you for your help.

Jeffrey

The FSM posted here that applies to the 2002-2007 will be close enough for your purpose of teardown and inspection of the block.

However if you do find, or end up buying, a PDF manual for the 2008+ plus I would love to host it so others can use it when they need it.

Hello,

Thank you for your message. A lot of documentations on the LostForum help me and sure, if i find the manual for the 2008+ i'll give you for hosting. For the moment, I have not found documentation on this engine in PDF (2.8L 2008+).

Best regards,

Jeffrey

I am not certain that I agree with you, Sir Sam. The KK Liberty/Cherokee may be using the V.M. Motori A428 engine, not the V.M. Motori R425 and R428 engines that are in the KJ Liberty/Cherokee models.

RA428, i think. The one in between the R428 and A428.

There is such a thing? If so, I would be VERY interested in studying its design, and in knowing how many were produced. Maybe it requires a thermostat upgrade as well!
