The rear main seal on my buddies CRD is leaking heavily.. anybody have any advice on how to proceed to replace it correctly .. done it before?
The machine shop replaced it once already and the leak came back.

I'd like to see a pic of a 'blown out' rear main seal. Anyone?
I'm hoping the FSM will have a good procedure, I'll be putting mine in soon.

Check the CCV system and make sure there is no obstructions to prevent full flow in the puck or hose.
Does it have the EHM? If so, try connecting it back to the OEM intake boot connection.
Make sure the intake boot is not cracked or leaking.

Are you sure its the rear main seal? There are a couple of oil galley plugs on the back of the engine and head that could leak and make you think it's the rear seal.
I remember on member having this issue. May want to search LOST?
