After almost nine months of battling nearly every stereotypical issue that diesel KJs have, I appear to have entered that unsettling phase of reliability that owners of old and / or unusual vehicles will recognise. It's that one where you're waiting for the next thing to go wrong... But it isn't. There are still things that need to be done, and they all fall into the 'before Winter' category. Suspension, brakes, glow plugs, injector seals, and getting the Provent off of my desk and finally into the KJ. Those are all doable in that timeframe, and can be taken care of. But for the past month, nothing has gone wrong. It's a pleasant change from past behaviour, and I'm still waiting to see where it leads. It's definitely not what I had become accustomed to, however. |

Short story, wiring harness chaffing near A/C accumulator on firewall. I have PTSD from my CEL. Working the 12 step program, OME lift kit going in soon, step 1. |

I went 160,000 reliable miles with only three problems that required a tow home. All three were relatively simple fixes. Then I had a cracked head. After fixing that, it’s had several sensor and electrical faults. Although a few of them were my own fault. I’m over 225,000 miles now and still on my factory original crank sensor. I keep a replacement crank sensor with me at all times. I figure that as long as I do that, I will never need it. |

FWIW I did everything in my signature between 90K and 100K miles. I am at 125K now and the only thing that has went wrong in between was failed electrical connection to lift-pump (my fault). Keeping fingers crossed. I have few pending projects: AC compressor install, sensor install, home-made thermostat housing install, brake calipers install. We will see when I can get to them. |

Plugs are brand new, ohm test checked okay, voltage check on the harness ok. Just ordered a glow plug control module.

what GP do you have ? if e-tecnos 7v then you may have problem , because they had bad batches in the past the latest version is better |
