NEW recall just released, dated May, 08, 2018
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear lower control arms, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 20, 2018.

New Safety Recall Advanced Communication – U38
FCA US LLC (FCA US) has announced a safety recall on certain 2004 through 2007
model year (KJ) Jeep[REGISTERED SIGN] Liberty vehicles.
VINs identified as being involved in this campaign are currently live and searchable.
REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL
Some of the above vehicles’ rear suspension lower control arms may experience
excessive corrosion and could eventually break. A broken rear control arm could
cause reduced vehicle control and may cause a crash without prior warning.
SERVICE ACTION
FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall to replace the rear right and left side
suspension lower control arms. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall
by way of established communication methods. This recall is estimated to launch in
2nd Quarter of 2018.
We ask that you please take the time to ensure that your personnel are aware of this
communication and are prepared to execute a customer friendly process for inquiries
regarding involved vehicles.
